Alex "dj ej nino" Melendez/Vp Of Programming

Alejandro "Dj El Nino" Melendez has been a dj since the age of 12. He had met a dj named Paradise at the age of 13 and since then has rose tot he scene. He has learned everything about mixing freestyle and other various music from Paradise and then combined his skills with the fast scratches and cuts to throw down every live show that he does. Has been known as the "Marc Anthony" of dj's as all the time he plays his heart out and gives energy to massive crowds all over. Has been crowned Buffalo's King Of Freestyle and Latin Dj's 8 years in a row. Still has not been topped in the western ny area. Has been the major dj/show headliner for every latin/freestyle show here since 2002 working with LRV and ACR productions.
Shows include: Oro Solido, Kinito Mendez, Cynthia Johnny O Concert(Buffalo, N.Y.), Victor Manuelle (the biggest one yet), Tka (official crown ceremony), The Cover Girls, Coro, Lil Suzy, Andrea Martin, Cheree, Freeze, Lucas Prata, Noel, Willie Valentin, Synthia Figueroa, Sammy Zone, Bernardo, Sam Savon, Poze, and the grand daddy of freestyle - Stevie B. Many Many shows done and now upcoming show featuring Lisa Lisa & The Cult JAm, Shannon, Debbie Deb, Brenda K Starr, George Lamond, Judy Torres and David (nice & wild).
Dj El nino has also been known to dj at buffalo's top clubs/bars including La Luna, The Squeeze, Zanzibar (his home), King's Court, Maggie's, Mr G's, Club El Coco, Club Sensations, The Lion's Den, The Palace, La Conga Loca, Club Cosmoplitan (where it all started), Pharaoh's, Club Barcelona, The Basement, The Red Room, and such. After 18 years dj el nino knows the times have changed and the music has changed, therefore he has worked very hard to give back to all that was given to him, was able to teach others such as DJ's Flaco, Dj Avee, and C-Perfect many of his talents that have helped them become the top dj's in the western ny area as well. Dj El Nino's heart and passion has always been with the Latin/Freestyle circuit and has always stuck to his roots through thick and thin. Has had a great run in his career and now is looking to take it to another direction with Latinmix radio teaming up with Dj Disco Dave.
